K-8 Program

ACS serves children in grades K-8. Our homeroom teachers are credentialed by the State of California. ACS also utilizes (as part time) teachers/individuals who possess the gifts, talents and resources that create a dynamic learning environment. There is a very low turnover rate in the faculty at ACS.

ACS is a very positive learning environment in which students are respected and treated with love and compassion. The school is often referred to as the “small school with the big heart”.

ACS has a wonderful reputation throughout the educational community and our students have excelled in local high schools, College of the Redwoods and Cal Poly Humboldt State University.

Each Spring, ACS administers the Iowa/CogAT Test in grades 1-8.

The school utilizes the Accelerated Reading Program in grades 1-8. Our 4,000+ library is up to date and exceptional for a school our size.

Our drama productions, athletic teams and tournaments, Mission Support and phonics reading programs are exceptional.

The school celebrates major school holidays including: Christmas and Easter. We emphasizes the Christian themes associated with each holiday. Our ACS School Handbook outlines a wide variety of school policies and procedures.
