Principal’s Message
Dear Parents and Friends of ACS,
Thank you for visiting the ACS Website and for you interest in providing a Christ-centered education for your child. Our mission statement declares purpose as a school: “ ACS exists to encourage families and provide a wholesome environment where students learn to live a Christ-centered life, realize their full academic potential, and share God’s love within the school and community.”
To fulfill the above objectives we entrust the care of your child to an incredible faculty and staff. They are dedicated to serving the Lord, loving children and providing the highest level of academic instruction. The turnover of our staff is very low because we love and care for each other. The following scripture (Philippians 2:5-7) summarizes our desire to each other, our students and their families:
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
Our K-8 academic program is centered on Abeka ™ curriculum materials. We believe this is the finest Christian curriculum available today. We encourage you to visit their website and view for yourself the scope and sequence of curriculum at each grade level ( www.abeka.com )
For almost 50 years now ACS has been housed and supported by the Arcata First Baptist Church (www.arcatafbc.org) This support has allowed the school to build a solid foundation through nearly five decades (Matthew 7:24-26)
